These beautiful sprays have the same pH value as apple cider vinegar - without the vinegar smell. In fact, we've come up with four mesmerizing scents made with therapeutic grade essential oils to tantalize the most discriminating nostrils. We've also added aloe vera to soothe and condition your scalp. Find out how and why you need an acid hair rinse in our article, How to Use a Shampoo Bar.
Lavender Mint - a sparkling blend of French lavender, rosemary, peppermint, tea tree, and clary sage. Now made with PlantaSol CCG**
Bay Lime - a tart and sweet (crazy good) blend of lime and bay. Now made with PlantaSol CCG**
Jasmine Rose - a soft, sensual blend of lavender, mandarin, geranium, marjoram sweet, frankincense, palmarosa, ylang ylang and patchouli. (This recipe just recently changed, so unfortunately it no longer contains Jasmine. We will change the name and labels to reflect this, but for the next few batches they will still say Jasmine Rose.) Now made with PlantaSol CCG**
Bergamot Orange - a rich citrus blend of bergamot, orange, and tangerine. Now made with PlantaSol CCG**
To Use: After washing your hair with one of your favorite shampoo bars, simply spritz all over damp hair and scalp. Rinse. Use once per week or as needed for soft, shiny hair.
This product comes in an 8 oz. bottle with a trigger sprayer that must be unlocked before you can dispense the product. There is a little tab/button right under the sprayer, just above the part of the sprayer head which screws onto the actual bottle that needs to be pushed in. This will unlock the sprayer mechanism. Using this locking mechanism makes taking your hair rinse with you when traveling easy and hassle free, as you don't need to worry about leakage.
15 ml samples packaged in a frosted mini-sprayer (perfect for traveling!) are now available for $2.95 each! Try them all!
** A NEW UPDATE: We are now using PlantaSol CCG (INCI Name: Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside) in these hair rinses. We want to provide our customers ease in using our products while also staying as natural as possible, so we will continue to look for improvements to ingredients that bring us closer to that goal. We switched to PlantaSol CCG because it is only rated as a 1 on the Skin Deep database. It is Ecocert approved and is a vegetable-derived solubilizer. Our labels will continue to say Polysorbate 20 for a while, but will be changed when we need to do a label re-order.
I really like these citric rinses. They smell good and are perfect for people with blonde hair. The ACV rinses discolor my hair. The citric makes my hair shine! Definitely recommend
I don't really care for the scent of vinegar but with my hard water I must use an acid rinse to use my shampoo bars. I decided to try this as an alternative, plus I loved the description of the scent. I have used this when I am in an area with softer water and it works great there. It is not strong enough for me to use at home though where my water is very hard. I am still giving this 5 stars because it does work great in the right conditions. My water at home is just too hard and I need something stronger.
I ordered a sample of the Lavender Mint. I'm not sure if it was working but it did always make my scalp feel very good for awhile after rinsing my hair with it. I also very much the way it made my hair smell.
Spray this on your hair once a week and your hair and scalp feel healthy with a great shine to the hair. Makes your hair look great.
I use baking soda for shampoo so I struggle with dry ends. I tried this product and WOW!! I love how clean my hair feels and it doesn't have an over powering smell, I don't feel like I have something stuck in my hair and it's smooth. Love the spray bottle, I use less and I don't have to dump it on my hair!
didn't like the lavender mint...did help get rid of a LITTLE bit of the disgusting feeling that the soap bars left on my hair. AVNS Response: From the description here, it sounds like you have hard water. That "disgusting feeling" is what I get when I try to use my bars while traveling and staying in hotels with hard water, for example. Unfortunately an acid rinse will not be able to solve that issue effectively. An acid rinse IS effective under the right conditions, and soft water or a good water filter is necessary when using shampoo bars.
I was a little skeptical of buying something before I could smell it, but the Jasmine Rose scent smells wonderful. Exactly like rose incense with a dash of jasmine. I decided to try this hair rinse because my boyfriend HATES the smell of my ACV rinse and mimes choking and dying every time I spray it on. So even though it's much more expensive to buy this, rather than make my own, I gave it a shot. It's totally worth it. Even my boyfriend says it smells good, and unlike ACV, I can still smell it in my hair after it's dried.
Since starting natural hair regimens I have used apple cider vinegar. I had not planned on switching since it is cost effective and cheaper to just use the apple cider vinegar and water, however, I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did. So glad in fact that I ordered another bottle today. The first I used was Bay Lime. I love the smell. I also love another added benefit. You can use it as a leave in conditioner. It may be cheaper to just use apple cider vinegar, but for the scent, and shine you get from the citrus rinses, I would encourage any to try them out. I won't go back to plain ol vinegar again.
I don't rinse it out and I use it every time I wash my hair, but I've noticed with these shampoo bars I don't have to wash my hair EVERY DAY and it's not greasy and it looks great still. I have recommended all these products to my friends. Even my 14-year-old loves it. I used the bars and then a week later used my old shampoo/conditioner and old body wash and my skin and hair felt greasy and gross. I'll never go back to traditional washes and soaps.
What a great product. It smells really super, and does a good job at making my hair soft.
