These beautiful sprays have the same pH value as apple cider vinegar - without the vinegar smell. In fact, we've come up with four mesmerizing scents made with therapeutic grade essential oils to tantalize the most discriminating nostrils. We've also added aloe vera to soothe and condition your scalp. Find out how and why you need an acid hair rinse in our article, How to Use a Shampoo Bar.
Lavender Mint - a sparkling blend of French lavender, rosemary, peppermint, tea tree, and clary sage.
Bay Lime - a tart and sweet (crazy good) blend of lime and bay.
Jasmine Rose - soft, beautiful scents from a ethereal bouquet of jasmine petals blended with green aloe water, beach rose and lilac from a plant based natural fragrance*
Bergamot Orange - a rich citrus blend of bergamot, orange, and tangerine.
To Use: After washing your hair with one of your favorite shampoo bars, simply spritz all over damp hair and scalp. Rinse. Use once per week or as needed for soft, shiny hair.
This product comes in an 8 oz. bottle with a trigger sprayer that must be unlocked before you can dispense the product. There is a little tab/button right under the sprayer, just above the part of the sprayer head which screws onto the actual bottle that needs to be pushed in. This will unlock the sprayer mechanism. Using this locking mechanism makes taking your hair rinse with you when traveling easy and hassle free, as you don't need to worry about leakage.
20 ml samples packaged in a frosted mini-sprayer (perfect for traveling!) are now available for $3.45 each! Try them all!
* Made from essential oils & botanical aromatic isolates, certified synthetic free.
** We are now using PlantaSol CCG (INCI Name: Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside) in these hair rinses. We want to provide our customers ease in using our products while also staying as natural as possible, so we will continue to look for improvements to ingredients that bring us closer to that goal. We switched to PlantaSol CCG because it is only rated as a 1 on the Skin Deep database. It is Ecocert approved and is a vegetable-derived solubilizer.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS STUF!! My hair has never been so clean and soft!
Love the smell, but it doesn't seem to be very effective (compared to using ACV). Or maybe the light spray is just not enough coverage even with spraying quite a lot and working it through.
I have very fine hair and has difficulty with putting anything on my hair and it's looking dirty or oily, but I decided to try this. I did not care for the smell but the smell fades and the product seems to condition well. I like the fact that you do not have to rinse it out.
I absolutely love this spray! My hair hates vinegar of any kind and this citric acid is the answer to my hair problems. I use it every time I wash my hair. I got the lavender mint and the citrus scent. They both smell lovely, but if they had no scent I would still use them. This rinse makes my long hair very, very soft with a lot of shine and it also brings out my waves. I have stopped using any leave-in products. I just don’t need them anymore. I highly, highly recommend this for anyone who doesn’t care for vinegar rinses or people like me who don’t mind them, but their hair rebels against them!
I don't wash my hair (except to have it cut), so I love to freshen it up with these rinses once a week.
Love love love. Literally every product from AVNS. Helps condition and leaves hair clean and soft, no nasty product build up like drugstore products. Smells great!
I like to use this once or twice a week. It seems to improve my hairs overall health when used regularly and it smells delightful.
I tried a sample of this.. I purchased the lavender mint. it smells good, I have used it twice so far. It is a very fine mist as others have said. I feel like I would go through this very quickly and I have pretty long hair so i'm not sure financially it is a good choice. I love the smell, I have tried vinegar before and it made my hair smell like a sour mop! so I like this product a lot. it definitely has made transitioning much better..
It's a very fine mist and so you have to try to deliberately cover all of your hair. The smell is fantastic, and it seems to work ok to seal the cuticle in my hair so it's shiny, but I notice that my hair is has more static and less body than when I use ACV, and since ACV costs a lot less I will probably not buy this again.
Leaves my hair soft and conditioned, as well as my scalp.
I really like these citric rinses. They smell good and are perfect for people with blonde hair. The ACV rinses discolor my hair. The citric makes my hair shine! Definitely recommend
I don't really care for the scent of vinegar but with my hard water I must use an acid rinse to use my shampoo bars. I decided to try this as an alternative, plus I loved the description of the scent. I have used this when I am in an area with softer water and it works great there. It is not strong enough for me to use at home though where my water is very hard. I am still giving this 5 stars because it does work great in the right conditions. My water at home is just too hard and I need something stronger.
I ordered a sample of the Lavender Mint. I'm not sure if it was working but it did always make my scalp feel very good for awhile after rinsing my hair with it. I also very much the way it made my hair smell.
Spray this on your hair once a week and your hair and scalp feel healthy with a great shine to the hair. Makes your hair look great.
I use baking soda for shampoo so I struggle with dry ends. I tried this product and WOW!! I love how clean my hair feels and it doesn't have an over powering smell, I don't feel like I have something stuck in my hair and it's smooth. Love the spray bottle, I use less and I don't have to dump it on my hair!
didn't like the lavender mint...did help get rid of a LITTLE bit of the disgusting feeling that the soap bars left on my hair. AVNS Response: From the description here, it sounds like you have hard water. That "disgusting feeling" is what I get when I try to use my bars while traveling and staying in hotels with hard water, for example. Unfortunately an acid rinse will not be able to solve that issue effectively. An acid rinse IS effective under the right conditions, and soft water or a good water filter is necessary when using shampoo bars.
I was a little skeptical of buying something before I could smell it, but the Jasmine Rose scent smells wonderful. Exactly like rose incense with a dash of jasmine. I decided to try this hair rinse because my boyfriend HATES the smell of my ACV rinse and mimes choking and dying every time I spray it on. So even though it's much more expensive to buy this, rather than make my own, I gave it a shot. It's totally worth it. Even my boyfriend says it smells good, and unlike ACV, I can still smell it in my hair after it's dried.
Since starting natural hair regimens I have used apple cider vinegar. I had not planned on switching since it is cost effective and cheaper to just use the apple cider vinegar and water, however, I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did. So glad in fact that I ordered another bottle today. The first I used was Bay Lime. I love the smell. I also love another added benefit. You can use it as a leave in conditioner. It may be cheaper to just use apple cider vinegar, but for the scent, and shine you get from the citrus rinses, I would encourage any to try them out. I won't go back to plain ol vinegar again.
I don't rinse it out and I use it every time I wash my hair, but I've noticed with these shampoo bars I don't have to wash my hair EVERY DAY and it's not greasy and it looks great still. I have recommended all these products to my friends. Even my 14-year-old loves it. I used the bars and then a week later used my old shampoo/conditioner and old body wash and my skin and hair felt greasy and gross. I'll never go back to traditional washes and soaps.
What a great product. It smells really super, and does a good job at making my hair soft.
I love vinegar, but only on my salad- not in my hair as the smell lasts forever. SOOOOO happy AVNS came out with such fantastic smelling and working acidic rinses for us!!! My favorite is lavender/mint. It so soothes my scalp especially when it's feeling itchy! I put some in an applicator bottle and saturate my scalp. Then I spray the rest of my hair with it, let it sit for a few minutes, then final rinse is with spring water. Hair is SO soft and shiny, and just feels wonderful. Scalp too!!!! I also love the bergmont/orange scent too but lavender/mint works wonders on my love to get itchy scalp, and it's very cooling too---just in time for warmer weather! THANKS SO MUCH! NEVER discontinue this gem!!
My daughter used this on her long strawberry blond hair for the first time and loves it. It made her hair shine and silky. Strongly recommend this product.
