It wouldn't really matter what you called this soap, it's the ultimate definition of sweet and tasty root beer! Sweet birch, sweet orange, and a just a dash of spicy cinnamon give this bar a delicious scent which may just have you looking for a glass of 1919! The addition of rhassoul clay creates a beautiful swirl in this light colored soap, and of course, it has all the characteristics of a fabulous AVNS shampoo!
For AVNS customers who have been around a while, you may recognize the scent of this soap from our past Literary line. Can you guess which bar we used as our inspiration? The stuff of which theatrics, poetry, and music springs, our previous Shakespeare body bar!
We tweaked the ingredients (just a little), to create a nourishing shampoo, and added the rhassoul clay for its benefit to both hair and scalp. But the reason we brought this soap back was because many of you reached out to tell us how much you loved the Shakespeare scent. A scent which evokes thoughts and dreams of a tall frothy glass of Root Beer, and of course, add the ice-cream please!!!
A quick note of clarification, any reviews which mention a purple soap are talking about the Shakespeare bar. We did remove the purple creating ingredient as we felt it didn't really work with the new Root Beer Float soap, but if you loved the Shakespeare body bar, we're pretty sure you'll love this shampoo!
Rhassoul Clay, mined from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, has been used for over 1400 years as a soap, shampoo, and skin conditioner. It contains a high percentage of silica, magnesium, potassium, and calcium, and its extraordinary ability to absorb oil and impurities from both the skin and hair makes it more effective than other clays for cleansing.
Ingredients: saponified oils of organic coconut, organic sunflower, castor, organic sustainable palm, organic olive, organic unrefined shea nut butter. Rhassoul clay, rosemary oil extract, and essential oils of sweet birch, orange, and cinnamon.

If you've never used a solid shampoo bar in your hair, you may wonder "how do I do that?" It's easy. Just get your hair wet, take the bar and rub it all over your scalp and hair. Put the bar down and work it into a wonderful lather. You may find that the first time you use a shampoo/body bar in your hair it feels different. Using natural ingredients is not going to give you the same feeling chemically laden choices do because the natural oils are not being stripped away. In addition, your hair may require a transition process before it is fully free of all the other chemicals and residues from prior hair products. You can read more about this transition process HERE.

Purchased this soap for my husband and he loves it. The smell is nice and doesn't dry out his skin.
I LOVE the smell of this bar!! And the creamy lather! And the pretty purple! I just LOVE this bar!! If the literary bars are discontinued under new management, I hope this bar comes back as root beer barrel :)
I just got my box of soaps today. On a bad day, I'm a root beer junky. I love root beer. I read 'root beer scent' and was like, 'I dunno about this..' so I just got a sample. This bar. Is fantastic. So fantastic. I can't express the fantastic. I was momentarily disappointed that it wasn't a bright speckly purple like the photo, though it is a really really dark purple. But seriously, it is so unimportant. I'm buying several of these, Immediately.
